Loretta Boatner, age 71, passed away Friday, December 30, 2022, at Ascension All Saints Medical Center. She was born in Gary, Indiana, July 6, 1951, daughter of the late Roy and Mattie Lee (Nee: Graham) Boatner.

Very dedicated and hardworking, Loretta was employed by Color Arts for several years. She was a fan of old westerns, wrestling and the cooking show, playing games and cards. Loretta was the greatest neighborhood watch, she enjoyed sitting on her front porch, retrieving the neighborhood gossip. Above all it was time spent with her family, that she cherished most.

She was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by her children, Kimberly Boatner (James Powell), Kenneth Lee Roberson, Kearn Lynn Roberson; grandchildren, Aaron (Luz), Isiah, Shakila (Kerry), Shykira, Carl (Janna) Shykila, Kentrayl; great grandchildren: aaron Jr., Isiah Jr., Illijiah, Thomas III, Arion, Carl III; siblings: Helen Boatner, Vicky Boatner, Leonard Boatner, Raymond Boatner, Tina (Arthur) Riley; special cousin Valoria Jones and dear and special friend, Gail Ward, nieces, nephews other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parent’s, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Roy and Charles Boatner, granddaughter, Deja Boatner- Kimbrough and her nephews, Tyjuan Boatner and Damario Boatner Jr. and her longtime companion, Lee Oscar Roberson “Pee Wee”.

A funeral service celebrating Loretta’s life will be held at the funeral home, Wednesday, January 11, 2023, 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation, Wednesday, 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
