Life Story / Obituary
Malinda Mae Jackson, age 73, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at her home. She was born in Glendora, MS, September 11, 1951, the 8 th of 8 children of the late Andrew and Gertrude (Nee: Mamon) Jackson.
Malinda moved to Racine from Chicago in 1993 to provide a better life for her 9 children. She was a Christian woman and had attended services at Faith Church of God. She enjoyed cooking, listening to blues, music especially gospel/church music. She will be remembered as being nice, loving, caring, kindhearted, very independent and strong. Above all she will be remembered as one who first and foremost loved and cared for her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her 9 children, Jacqueline (Shannon) Ball, Andre Jackson, Michael Jackson, Shelia (Bobby) Howard, Tina Jackson, LaToya Henderson, Lavar Jackson, Keyia Jackson, and Kewon Jackson; a host of grandchildren; a brother, George (Linda) Jackson; in-laws, Barbara Jean Williams, Lila Williams, David Ware; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends including special friends, Nona Hiler, and Bernadine Cole. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Evelyn (Abraham) Yarbough, Ponzell Lewis, Arthur Lee Williams, Betty Jean Ware, Hilda Mae Williams, Eris Williams; and son-in-law, Willie Henderson.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held at the funeral home, Saturday, August 16, 2025, 10 am with Pastor Frank James officiating. Entombment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service 9-10 am.
