Margaret Ree Morrison

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Margaret Ree Morrison, age 76, Saturday, January 1, 2022, at Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital, Milwaukee. Born in Jachin, AL, December 13, 1945, the 7th of 10 children to TC and Tommie Lou (Nee: Jackson) Bryant.

Margaret was a graduate of Chowtaw County Training School in 1964. She relocated to Racine in 1968 where she was employed as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant with St. Mary’s Medical Center for over 20 years. Her caregiving extended beyond the hospital walls to all in need be it in the community or her family. She worked as an In-Home Care specialist until the end. Always willing to extend a helping hand, place to stay and a warm meal at 1226 Center Street. She will be missed dearly.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, LeRoy Bryant, Linda Smith (Haven), Donald K. Bryant and Jemell Morrison; life partner of 17 years Larry Whisenten; eight grandchildren, Avery Brown, Tarence Bryant, Thomas Bryant, Leangelo Bryant, Lerell Bryant, Lorenzo Gentry, Dekhire Jordan, Iesha Bryant, Nakesha Smith, Jazzman Bryant, and Aryana Bryant; numerous great grandchildren; her loving sister, Zenoria Harmon; special nieces, Sharon Harmon, Teketa Cousins, Felecia P. Gray; loving sisters-in-laws, Vera Bryant, Regina Bryant and Joish Williams; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Bessie Mae Brown, TC Bryant Jr, Jesse Bryant, Willie Bryant, JT Bryant, Charlie Bryant, Raymond Bryant, and Johnnie Lee Bryant.

Homegoing service will be held at the funeral home for immediately family, Wednesday, January 12, 2022, 11 am. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service 10- 11am.
