Mary Elizabeth Lee

Mary Elizabeth Lee, aged 98, passed away on Sunday, July 27th, 2025, at North Point Senior Living in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

She was born on August 20th, 1926, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Daughter of Walter S. and Edna (Severns) Engelhardt. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Lee, her sister Martha Jane (Engelhardt) Helm, her brother-in-law Roy Helm and her son-in-law John Repp.

Mary is survived by her daughter Laura Lee (Repp), son Douglas Lee and her daughter -in-law Jane (Rarick) Lee. She is also survived by her four grandchildren Jennifer (Lee) Gonzalez), Jonathan Lee, Carrie (Lee) Blees and Benjamin Lee.

On December 22, 1951, Mary was united in marriage to Robert Lee. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, and she was an elementary school teacher in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois and Wisconsin. Later, she was a Marketing Manager at Lexington Square Retirement Community in Lombard, Illinois.

In more recent history, she was the site manager for Meals on Wheels at Lake Oakes Senior Apartments until 2019. She volunteered for several organizations including Brownie Leader, Cub Scout Den Mother and Uniform Coordinator for the Racine Kilties Drum and Bugle Corps.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Racine, WI at 11:00 am on August 23rd, 2025. Memorials to Racine Seniors Nutrition Program have been suggested.
