Mary Pat Olson, age 84, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024, at St. Monica’s Senior Living. She was born in Racine, on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1940, daughter of the late Calvin and Mildred (Nee: Devine) Brinkman.

Mary Pat was a graduate of St. Catherine’s High School, “Class of 1958”. On June 11, 1960, at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, Mary Pat was united in marriage to David F. Olson who preceded her in death on December 6, 2023. In her earlier years, Mary Pat was employed by the Electric Company, the Council House and lastly in the office at Fountain Hills. She was a longtime member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. An avid Wisconsin sports fan, Mary Pat also enjoyed knitting and crocheting, reading, traveling and sudoku puzzles in each day’s newspaper. Above all it was time spent with her family that she cherished most.

She was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by her children, Jeffrey (Monica) Olson, Timothy (Wendy) Olson, Kelly (William) Peck, Randall (Holly) Olson; 11 grandchildren: Kurt Olson, Luke Olson, Justin Olson, Julia Olson, Carolyn (TJ) Smith, Amy (Derek) Benz, Bryan Olson, Brieanna Peck, Lindsay Peck, Hailey Olson and Sean Olson; 6 great grandchildren, Natalie, Lauren, Grace, Henry, Connor and Levi; brothers, John (Diane) Brinkman, Stephen (Sue) Brinkman, sister-in-law, Barbara Beth Zakowski; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two infant babies, Mary Pat and David, her brother, Michael (Peggy) Brinkman and her sister, Maureen (Joseph) Eisenman.

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Mary Pat’s life will be held 11:00 am, Monday, September 16, 2024, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St., with Rev. Marco Valentini officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Garden Crypts. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation, Monday, 9:30 am until time of Mass at the church. Memorials to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church or to St. Monica’s Senior Living have been suggested.
