Meliton Antonio Sanchez

Meliton Antonio Sanchez, age 46, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024, the result of an automobile accident. He was born April 1, 1977, in San Sebastian Teitipac, Tlacolula, Oaxaca, Mexico the 7th of 8 children of Sabino and Elvira (nee: Sanchez) Antonio Luis.

Meliton had been employed as a cook at Denny’s Restaurant and IHOP. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and love of family. He was a vibrant person who always was there to lend a helping hand to those in need. He enjoyed dancing with his wife and traveling with his family. He was a devoted husband and father who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his wife, Marina; 5 children, Alonzo, Ulices, Hector, Isai, and Diana; his siblings, Cata, Aurelia, Minga, Berta, Juan, and Felipe; in-laws Adrián Ávila, and Juan Martínez ; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ana.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1100 Erie St, Friday, March 15, 2024, 10:30 am with Fr. Juan Comacho officiating. Relatives and friends may meet at the home on Thursday 812 Augusta St at 5 pm and on Friday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 9:30 am until time of Mass at 10:30 am. Interment will be held at Municipal Cemetery of St. Sebastian Teitipac, Tlacolula, Oaxaca, Mexico.
