Michael Alan Shafer

Michael A. Shafer, age 20, passed away unexpectedly in his residence, Wednesday, October 26, 2022. He was born in Sarasota, FL, August 26, 2002, son of Amy Jo Parr.

Mike was a graduate of Washington Park High School, “Class of 2020”. He was employed by Merz North America. Mike was full of energy and ambition. He would dream big and set out to accomplish anything and everything he wanted to in the world. He loved working with his hands, tinkering on any car or motor. He had a great love for the outdoors, fishing, riding dirt bikes and ATV’S.

He will be dearly missed by his parents, Amy Parr (Jason Hansen); siblings, Sean Fischer, Hailey Fischer and Madison Shafer; his girlfriend, Janeth Hidalgo; grandparents: Keith (Carol) Parr, Shelly Hansen; aunts, uncles, other relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Hansen.

A funeral service celebrating Michael’s life will be held at the funeral home, Tuesday, November 1, 2022, 1:30 PM. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation, Tuesday, 12:30 PM until time of service at the funeral home.
