Michael Groves Jr.

Michael Groves Jr. was born December 9, 1988 to Tina Johnson and Michael Groves Sr in Fond du lac, WI. Michael was always a joy to be around, his goofiness always seemed to take over. He enjoyed playing sports and protecting his sisters. Since Michael could walk he was always known for being into something, but nobody seemed to care because of those “Mikey eyes”. Michael had a giving heart, and was always willing to help others. Unfortunately on July 26, 2021 the Lord called Michael home. Michael was raised in Racine, WI and attended Park High School. On December 14, 2012 he met the love of his life, his fiancé, April Vaughn. Michael leaves behind three children Jaden Groves, Harmony Groves, and Skylar Groves also two stepchildren Eternity Vaughn and Alexis Adams. Michael was a family man and leaves to cherish his memories: his grandmother Carolyn Bonds (LA Pillows), mother Tina Johnson, his three sisters Micah Groves (Charice), Melissa Groves (Al), Tyler Johnson (Parnell) and only brother Tony Johnson. Special cousins; Sharlene Tyson, Remon Tyson, Jeremy Jr St Amant(Ariel), Jazmine St Amant (Jordan), Jacob St Amant, Shantel Burns, Gina Stone (Sam) and Victoria Sturba (Robert). Michael was an amazing uncle to Kania Groves, Mekai Pabai, Serenity Groves, Karter Simmon, A’loni Hansbrough, Morgan Simmon, Alonte Hansbrough and Ky’rell McCray. Uncle Michael Johnson (Derrick Dixon) and aunties Kimberly Stone, April St Amant, Barbara (James), Georgia (Edward), Debbie (Kermit). Childhood friends Nicolas Grant, Tyresse Burton, Jermaine McKinney, Kam Maiola, Louie and a host of other family and friends. Michael is preceded in death by his father Michael Groves Sr, his grandparents Velma & Issac Groves, Bessie Johnson & Hicks Johnson Sr. his aunts Charlotte Dearing, Iris and Patricia; his uncles Jeremy St. Amant, Charles and Roland.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Saturday, August 7, 2021, 12 pm noon. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service 11 am - 12 pm. Private interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery.
