Life Story / Obituary

Norman Kenneth Stephan, age 73, of Sturtevant, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, September 29, 2025.

Born in Racine on August 10, 1952, Norman was the son of the late William and Leona

(Nee: Schattner) Stephan. A proud second-generation farmer, Norman dedicated his life to working the land with steadfast devotion, embodying the values of hard work, perseverance, and family tradition.

On December 12, 1981, he was united in marriage to Deborah Pallesen at the Lutheran Chapel of the Cross. Together they built a life grounded in love, faith, and family. Norman was a proud graduate of Racine Lutheran High School, Class of 1970.

Norman found joy in the simple things, sharing stories of farm life, cheering for his beloved Brewers and Green Bay Packers. He loved listening to Bob Uecker announce baseball games and listening to the sports radio after a Cubs or Bears game. Above all, it was time spent with family that he cherished most. His family remembers him as a man of integrity, warmth, and quiet strength.

He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 43 years, Deborah; his daughter, Kristen (Brad) Wenzel; and his cherished grandson, Henry; brother-in-law Jonathon (Kristen) Duchac; nephew J.T.; other relatives; and many dear friends.

A funeral service celebrating Norman’s life will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, October 17, 2025 at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation on Friday at 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.

Norman’s legacy of love, faith, and hard work will live on in the fields he tended, the family he cherished, and the lives he touched.
