Patrick “Pat” James Cronin, age 78, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025, at Select Specialty Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born in Racine, November 25, 1946, son of the late James and Clara (Nee: Flanigan) Cronin.

Pat was a graduate of St. Catherine’s High School, “Class of 1964”. He furthered his education by graduating from the University of Wisconsin Parkside in accounting and receiving his master’s degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. Pat proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Earlier in his career he was employed by Siena Center as an accountant and lastly employed by Extendicare for twenty years until his retirement.

Pat was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Pat proudly coached his kids during grade school and middle school as well as refereeing football for 25 years. He was a WIAA member for 20 years. Pat was an avid Packer, Brewer and Notre Dame fan.

Pat, above all, cherished his time with those he cared for. He treasured time with his grandchildren especially taking them on car rides, Friday night fish fries and breakfast after Church on Sunday’s. He was a bonafide candy expert especially when it came to Angel food. He deeply cared for the friendships he made over his lifetime, especially the monthly lunches with Extendicare and Trivia night with his bingo group. Pat was the most selfless person. He would do anything to help anyone.

Pat will be dearly missed by his son, Patrick (Amber) Cronin; daughter, Margaret “Maggie” Cronin; grandchildren, Brian, Justice, Madison and Braxton; great grandson, Damien “Bucko”; sisters, Mary Jane Factor, Trudy Gardner, Kathleen “Katie” (Tom) Hansen; brother-in-law, LeRoy Goines; nieces, nephews other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parent’s, he was preceded in death by his sister, Colleen Goines and brothers-in-law, Jim Walters and Arthur Gardner and nephew Danny Scofield.

Funeral services celebrating Pat’s life will be held at 5:00 pm, Monday, March 3, 2025, at the funeral home.
