Paul T. Cook passed away August 10, 2024, at Ascension Hospital with his wife and son by his side. He was born in Racine April 9, 1944, son of John and Mary (Nee: Simo) Cook.

After graduating from St. Catherine's High School, he enlisted in the Army. Following his tour of duty, he worked at Massey Ferguson for many years as a Specifications Analyst and then as an Inventory Planner. He retired from his work career as a Case Manager for the Development Disabled at Goodwill Industries.

Survived by his wife of almost 40 years Kristen Cook, son Robert Cook, Grandsons John and Robert Peterson; brother Rev. Edward Cook, sisters Mary Collins (husband Bruce), and Lilly Young; nieces, nephew, grandnieces, and step-son William Lutz (daughters Flora and Cora).

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Mary Cook, brother Robert Cook, daughter Vicki Peterson and grandson Arthur Peterson.

What he really enjoyed was working with animals at local “no kill shelters” both in Kenosha and Racine. He never met a dog or cat he didn’t like and the feeling was usually returned.

He was much loved by his wife, son and entire family and will be sadly missed.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Paul, a contribution to HOPE Safehouse would be a fitting and appreciated reminder.

Visitation will be held at Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home, 803 Main St. from 10:00 to 11:00 followed by a small service at 11:00 on Monday August 19, 2024.
