Raymond "Scooter" R. Rein

Raymond Robert Rein, most affectionately known as “Scooter”, age 52, passed away unexpectedly on May 25th, 2022. He was born in Racine, June 29, 1969, son of Theodora Klinkhammer.

Raymond was raised in Racine and attended Washington Park High School “Class of 1987.” Scooter was employed by Racine Heat Treatment, Gleason Redi Mix and for the past 15 years as an over the road truck driver.

Scooter was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed nature, hunting and riding his Harley. He had a strong respect and support for those in the military. He loved the 4th of July and on occasion had been known to light off a few fireworks. He was a friend to many, the kind of person you’d want in your corner. A fierce advocate for those he loved. He was an expert griller, his ribs were seasoned to perfection. You could often hear the soulful melodic sounds of smooth jazz as he worked in his garden and around the house. Above all, he treasured time spent with his two daughters. His girls were his whole world. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his beloved daughters, Sydney Rein (fiancée Keegan Kastorff), Taylor Rein (Teddy Kroes); Mocha Rein; his mother, Theodora Klinkhammer; siblings, Renee (Mike) Grubber, Teddy Rein, Liz (Sam) Thorell; friend and mother of his children, Paula Rein; nieces, nephews, other relatives, his two best friends Brian (Traci) Meekma their daughter Rylee and Son Chris; and Michael (Becky) Heether and sons Quinn and Caleb.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Pierce Woods Park Pavilion in Racine, WI on June 11th at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to his two children Sydney or Taylor Rein to support them during this difficult time.
