Life Story / Obituary
Richard “Dick” R. Goldmann, age 86, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Lakeshore at Siena surrounded by family. Dick was born in Wauwatosa, May 10, 1938, son of the late Herman and Ada (Nee: Metzger) Goldmann.
At the very young age of 16, Dick joined the National Guard and proudly served his country in the U.S. AirForce. On October 13, 1962, Dick was united in marriage to Josephine Balistreri who preceded him in death on August 24, 2018. Dick was employed as an Operations Manager with Wisconsin Electric for 33 years, until his retirement in August of 1995. He was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Above all, it was time spent with his family that he cherished most.
He was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by his sons, Steve Goldmann, Paul (Patricia) Goldmann; grandchildren, Amanda (Troy) Trueber, Michelle (Johnny) Walker, Chelsea (Andrew) Coe, Teagan (Greg) Silvers; great grandchildren: Ann-Marie (Justin), Kaylee, Megan, Donovan, Aryana, Wyatt, Remington, Elliott, Vitali, Jonny, Elise; great great grandson Westley; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ernest (Jean) Goldmann and his sister, Dorothy Morrissette (Thomas)
A Memorial Mass celebrating Dick’s life will be held at 11:30 am, Monday, February 10, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1533 Erie St., with Rev. Michael Petersen officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation on Monday from 10:00 am until time of Mass at the church. Memorials to the HA Todd Jr. American Legion, Post 537, have been suggested by the family.
