Richard Patrick Bronson

Richard Patrick Bronson, age 63, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Racine, April 16, 1963, son of Ronald and Dorothy (Nee:Dondlinger) Bronson.

Rick graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Burlington and went on to earn a degree from Carroll College. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and for the past 30 years had worked in Alaska during the fishing season. Rick enjoyed the Alaskan landscape, the outdoors, fishing and its animals. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Dorothy (Joseph) Bodeau; sister, Dianna (Ronald) Nitz; brothers, Steven (Robin) Bronson, Michael Bronson; stepbrothers, John and Marc Bodeau; aunts and uncles, Sue Dondlinger, Ronald (Kathleen) Dondlinger, David (Nancy) Bronson, Joe (Katy) Bronson; 10 nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Ronald Bronson. uncles, John Dondinger, Bill Donlinger, Jerome Bronson; and cousin, Theresa Dondlinger.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 3320 S. Colony Ave, Union Grove, Thursday, September 3, 2026, 11 am with Fr. Kenneth Augustine officiating. Interment with full military honors with follow at Union Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the Mass 10 – 11 am.
