Richard Wayne Fuhst

Richard Wayne “Dick” Fuhst, age 89, passed away Monday August 10, 2026 at Anita’s Garden in Brookfield, WI. Richard was born in Racine on April 25, 1937, son of the late Milton and Justine (nee: Stiber) Fuhst Sr.

Dick graduated from St. Catherine’s High School “Class of 1955”. Following graduation, he proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Dick was employed with Western Publishing for over forty-three years. He was a former member of Holy Name and St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Churches. In his spare time, Dick loved fishing, cars, and watching baseball and old movies. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.

Dick will be dearly missed by his daughters, Laurie (Jeffrey) Rude of Germantown and Cindy (Kif) Ward of Libertyville, IL; grandchildren, Ryan (Melissa) Rude and Katharine (Kerwin) Valle; great grandchildren, Julia Rude and Klay Valle; and other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his siblings, Milton Jr., Thomas, Constance and Bobby.

Private funeral services with Full Military Honors will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials to The Alzheimer’s Association have been suggested.
