Robert "Bob" Arthur Hulkoff, 87, of Racine passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 28, 2024, at Ascension All Saints Hospital with his loving wife by his side. Bob was born May 11, 1936, in Negaunee, MI to the late Isaac Elmer and Bernice Marie Hulkoff (LaForest). He received his education in the schools of Negaunee, MI.

His love of camping and fishing began when he was young. He spent his summers fishing and tent camping in Michigan's Upper Peninsula with his late grandparents Delore and Orzella LaForest. In his youth he enjoyed downhill skiing and dancing to 50's music. Bob served in the US Navy 1954-1959. On July 7,1972 he married Joan (Netter) Petravicius and together they formed a blended family. Bob shared his love of camping and fishing, and with Joan they drove their family on many vacations to the UP for just that.

Bob retired from Triple E as a punch press machine operator in 1998. He was a Green Bay Packers football fan and Detroit Tigers baseball fan. In his retirement he remained very active and made friends wherever he went - working at a donut shop on Lathrop Ave and at Kewpee's in Downtown Racine.

Bob was a member of the Eagles Club and Alano Club. He enjoyed coffee and breakfast at Kewpee’s and Friday Fish Fry at the Eagles Club. He and Joan spent every weekend at their camper in Jefferson County during camping season. There, he would drive his golf cart around, dine at the lodge, and socialize with other campers. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory, Joan, his wife of 51 years; their children, Tom (Patty) Petravicius, Robert (Patti) Hulkoff, James Petravicius, Robin (Buck) Perrault, Lori (Tom) Erickson and William "Bill" Hulkoff; grandchildren, Alex and Nick Larsen, Michael (Amber Davis) Hulkoff, Auden (Erin) and Cassidy Erickson, Matt, Savannah and Liam Hulkoff; great grandchildren, Tanisha, Starr and Alvin Hulkoff; family friends, Joel and Jake Goldwater. Bob will be fondly remembered by his many friends and acquaintances. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his second father Travis Crow and daughter, Angie Larsen-Mattas.

Funeral services will be held at the Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home, 803 Main St., Saturday, March 9, 2024, 12 pm noon with Reverend Laura Fladten officiating. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service 11am – 12 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alano Club of Racine.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Ascension All Saints Hospital for their compassionate care and support.
