Robert "Bob" Patrick Brook

Robert Patrick Brook, age 69, passed away with his family at his side at home Saturday, August 1, 2026. He was born in Racine May 13, 1957, son of the late Patrick and Mavis (Nee: Solfest) Brook.

Bob attended J.I. Case High School “Class of 1975”. He ran the family owned upholstery shop his father opened after his dad retired, and his most recent enjoyable work was restoring antique barber chairs. He had taught upholstery classes at Gateway Technical College in the early nineties. Bob’s passion was music and enjoyed the years Jay and Joshua had band rehearsals in his home. He also loved classic cars, restoring them and going to car shows. Bob will be remembered as a very strong nonjudgmental man who always was there to lend a helping hand to those in need. A lot of people called him “Big Bob” because of his height, but it was his heart that was truly the biggest. Above all it was his family that he treasured the most. He was a devoted father and grandfather will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his son, Joshua Brook; grandchildren, Rhylee and Zaylen Jay Brook; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved son, Jeremiah “Jay” Brook; his sister, Janet VanBrunt; niece, Tanya Mejia; and great nephew, Jacob Mejia.

Funeral services will be held a the Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home, 803 Main St., Wednesday, August 12, 2026, 12:30 pm. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service 11am until 12:30 pm.
