Life Story / Obituary
Ronald K. Brossman Sr., age 78, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Ascension All Saints Medical Center. He was born in Racine, March 11, 1947, son of the late Kenneth and Helen (Nee: Gutknecht) Brossman.
He was a graduate of William Horlick High School “Class of 1965”. Ronald proudly served in the United States Army and was a member of the V.F.W. Post 494. During his career he was employed by Western Publishing and Dairyland Greyhound Dog Park. He also owned and operated Brossman Refrigeration for several years and most recently Brossman’s Bar in Franksville. For decades, he enjoyed running bus trips that created great memories for all. A self-taught musician, he enjoyed playing several musical instruments. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping with family and friends, hunting and fishing. He especially cherished the time he spent at his cabin in Buffalo County. He also served as a Range Officer and Board Member at Wisconsin Sportsman Assc. and was a member of the NRA. He will be fondly remembered for his humor, quick wit, jokes, and his knack for storytelling.
He will be dearly missed by his lifelong partner of thirty-seven years, Charlotte LaFreniere; his children, R. Keith (Cindy) Brossman Jr., Kenneth (Katie) Brossman, Molly (Troy) Szymandera, Robin LaFreniere (fiancé Buddy Duvall), Craig (Jennifer) LaFreniere, Jaysson (Julie) LaFreniere, Kali (David) Mycon; 18 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Fran Brossman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Karen (Mike) Nachreiner; and his brother, Darrell Brossman.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 20, 2025, 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery, Milwaukee, WI.
