Sandra K. Mackanos

Sandra K. Mackanos, age 80, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the Cape Canaveral Hospital, Cocoa Beach, FL. She was born in Webster, South Dakota, December 28, 1944, daughter of the late Clifford and Lois (Grimes) Lee.

Sandra was employed for fifteen years at the Randall County Market, retiring in 2000. On May 24, 2023, she was united in marriage to George Mackanos whom she enjoyed spending the winters in Rockledge, FL. Sandra loved spreading and teaching the word of God for forty plus years. Her pastimes included walking, biking, crocheting, knitting, and going to the pool. Above all she cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, George; her children, Dale Celmer, Steve Celmer, Renee Solis, Lynne (Donald) Ahles, Jamie (Don) Lange; 23 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Barbara (Ronald) Stoffel-Emde, Vicki Lock, Lori Lee; brother-in-law, Robert Miles; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband John Medlock, husband Richard Luedtke, her sister, Jacquelyn Miles and brothers-in-law, Douglas Lock and Curt Stoffel.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 11 am. Relatives and friends may meet with the family prior to the service 10– 11 am. Interment will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Town of Dover.
