Sister Christine Marie Goodman, O.P., 92, passed away at Francis House in South Milwaukee, on January 6th, 2026.

Beatrice was born September 1, 1933 to Frank and Mary (nee: Simon) Goodman in Dallas Twp. (Fowler), Michigan. On September 10, 1951 she joined the Racine Dominicans and at her reception in 1952 she was given the religious name Sister Christine Marie. She professed her first vows in 1954 and her final vows in 1960.

Sister Christine Marie spent many years in service to others in teaching and clerical work. She began her ministry in 1954 at St. Bernard, Madison, WI. Other places in Wisconsin where she served were St. Augustine, Wausaukee, Sacred Heart, St. Edward, and St. Joseph, Racine; Holy Angels, Milwaukee; St. Norbert, Roxbury; St. John, Little Chute; and St. Luke Plain. From 1976 to 1991 she did clerical work at Boysville of Michigan, Clinton, MI. She also served in Detroit and Harper Woods, MI. After leaving Michigan she worked in the Siena Retreat Center. In 2004 she became a resident at Siena Center and did Community Service. She moved to Francis House at Franciscan Villa, South Milwaukee in September 2021.

Sister Christine Marie is survived by the Racine Dominican Sisters and Associates; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers Leonard, Elmer and Roman; and her sisters Leona Frechen, Loretta Schneider, Vera Goodman, Joan Goodman, and Agnes Gasses; and her sister-in-law Crystal Goodman.

A Remembering Service will be at 8:45am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in the Siena Center Chapel, 5635 Erie Street, Racine, on Thursday January 15th, 2025. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery Hwy 32. Memorials to the Racine Dominican Mission Outreach have been suggested.
