W. C. McWhorter age 86 died on Sunday, October 20, 2019 in Aurora Healthcare Center, in Kenosha, WI, surrounded by his caring family and loving wife of 36 years. He was born January 3 1933 in New Albany MS, to the union of Daniel and Luella (nee: Banks) McWhorter. He received his formal education in New Albany, MS. After his formal education he joined the United States Army serving faithfully and dutifully for 3 yrs. He enjoyed reading and collecting Jet magazines. WC was an avid sports fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. When he wasn’t watching sports he enjoyed watching old western movies and “catching the wind” while out riding his Harley motorcycle. He was employed by American Motors (Chrysler) Corporation and a member of UAW Local 72 for 36 years until retirement. His loving and caring family and friends will miss him.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Dorothy (nee: Snow) McWhorter. Six beloved children: one son, Cartrie McWhorter of Racine, WI. five daughters, Cartrenia McWhorter of Houston, TX, Denise McWhorter of Ohio, Willie Mae Snow, Vannester Mills and Jackie Mills, of Racine, WI, his loving sisters and brothers

Jeff (Treva) McWhorter, William McWhorter, Greenella Lewis, Maryon (Laurance) Mack, Tammie McWhorter and Jenny Johnson of Racine, WI and Geraldine (Charles) Hattix and Webster McWhorter of Blue Springs MS. Twelve grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

His mother and father, Luella and Daniel; three sisters, Erma, Sherry McWhorter and Helen Bostick; two brothers, Jimmie D, James and Lester, and a grandson, Daryl McWhorter, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 25, 2019, 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at New Omega Baptist Church, 5731 Northwestern Avenue followed by funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Interment with full military honors will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Monday October 28, 2019 at 11:00 A.M.
