Wayne J. Widenberg

Wayne Joseph Wildenberg, age 73, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on March 11, 2021. He was born on June 10, 1947 to Urban and Irene (Pritzi) Wildenberg.

Wayne worked for many years for the Village of Combined Locks until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, soaking up the sun, hunting, fishing and being up north. Wayne had a collection of ducks that he was most proud of. He loved all animals, especially cats and dogs. Wayne had a tremendous sense of humor, and his laugh could always light up a room. His pranks are known by those he played them on, one of which was hiding little yellow ducks, that are still being discovered to this day! He was a generous man and would give the shirt off his back if you needed it. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him greatly.

Wayne is survived by his daughters Shelly (fiancé Mike) Karrow and Dawn Wildenberg; granddaughter Cami Mobley; stepdaughters Kathy Veto and Kerry Milkie; siblings Glen (Cindy) Wildenberg, Lynn (Gary) Lucklow and Steve Wildenberg. He is also survived and loved by several step grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by his wives Blossom, Eileen and Carole as well as his parents, Urban and Irene.

On April 8 at the funeral home we will be holding a celebration of Wayne’s life. We will gather from 10-11 am with a service to follow at 11am with prayer and sharing of stories of his joyful time with his friends and family in Racine. We welcome all of you to come and celebrate with us!
