Wayne Morris Crawford, age 77, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Ascension All Saints Hospital. He was born in Racine, January 17, 1947, son of the late Marcus and Margaret (Nee:Dascher) Crawford.

Wayne graduated from St. Catherine’s High School “Class of 1965”. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant stationed in Italy. On September 3, 1966, he was united in marriage to Christine M. Gill, who preceded him in death April 27, 2005. Wayne was employed by the Town of Caledonia Hwy Dept retiring in 2006. He served on the board and as chairman of the Caledonia Mt Pleasant Memorial Park and as Chairman of the Caledonia Park Commission. He was honored for his service by having Crawford Park bear his name. Wayne enjoyed deer hunting and antique collecting, especially Racine memorabilia. He was a spectator sports fan who enjoyed following the Brewers, Packers and Badgers. Above all he treasured time spent with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his three sons, Sean (Brigit) Crawford, Thomas Crawford, and Brian (Shannon) Crawford; grandchildren, Nathan, Meaghan, MacAllister, and Kevin; sister, Janice Miller; brother, Timothy (Jeanne) Crawford; sister-in-law Kathy Crawford; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother Gerald Crawford.

Relatives and friends may meet at the funeral home Saturday, March 2, 2024, 10 am -12pm. A time of remembering will follow at 12 pm and then followed by interment with full military honors at Country Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Caledonia Park Commission have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the rehabilitation staff of Lakeshore at Siena for their loving and compassionate care.
