William Jerome Maryland III

William Jerome Maryland III, age 40, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Racine on December 10, 1984.

William was a graduate of the Real School, “Class of 2002”. During his high school years, he participated in varsity volleyball at Park School, where he developed a lifelong love for the sport. He was employed by Racine Unified School District, as a teacher’s assistant and volleyball coach at J.I. Case High School. William had a passion for music and played the guitar and was a fan of Batman.

He was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by his parents, Willie Jr. (Susan) Maryland; siblings, Kenyanette Folami, Danielle Love (Tarence), Nicole Maryland (Joe), Erin Tussler (Tyriece) and Alex Maryland; grandmother, Joyce Kaiser; grandfather, Jack Butgereit; godmother, Marilyn Clausen; aunts, uncles, other relatives and dear friends.

Funeral services celebrating William’s life will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, October 3, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation on Friday at 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home. Memorials to one’s favorite charity have been suggested.
