She was born July 4, 1934 in Passaic, NJ, and was the daughter of the late Berthold and Erika Rumminger. Wilma (Willie) grew up in Bergen County, NJ, and lived in Fairfield and Trumbull, CT, from 1958 to 2007, before moving to Fort Myers and residing at Shell Point for over 15 years.

In 2007, Willie retired from a distinguished career in real estate that spanned over 30 years in Fairfield County. Her life was marked by resourcefulness, hard work, and serving others. She enjoyed athletics, especially swimming, and living on Pinewood Lake in Trumbull. Willie was very creative, pursued many artistic interests and was known for her love of fashion.
