Albert H. Schmid

On Tuesday, September 8, 2020, Albert H. Schmid left this world and was reunited with his wife Kathleen, who passed away August 16, 2020. Albert was born in Lauriam, MI on April 15, 1942, son of the late Albert and Rose (nee: Bissinger) Schmid.

Albert graduated from Calumet High School “Class of 1960”. Furthering his education, he earned a degree in Accounting from Michigan Technological University. On November 30, 1963, he was united in marriage to the love of his life Kathleen Claire Perrault at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Hubbell, MI. They moved to Racine in 1964 and raised two daughters, Lisa and Laura. Albert was employed with Wisconsin Natural Gas for many years until he retired. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and RAMAC. A huge Packers fan, Albert also enjoyed bowling and playing cribbage. Above all, Albert was very sentimental and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Albert will be dearly missed by his daughters, Lisa (Nick) Comande, Laura (David) Popadic; grandchildren, Rachel Comande, Sara and Matthew Popadic; other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Albert was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, JoAnn and Fred Elenich.

Private family services and interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32.
