Albert 'Michael' Chambliss, Jr. age 64, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at his home in Racine, WI. He was born in Meridian. MS on March 29, 1959, to the late Albert and Dorothy (nee: Ruffin) Chambliss.

Mike was married to Linda Marie (nee: Flores) 1980-1996. Together they created a blended family and raised 6 children. He later met his life partner Robin Itzenhueser with whom he spent the rest of his life.

Michael was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was also the jack of all trades. He worked in various fields over the years. Michael lived his life to the fullest doing the things that he loved most. In his younger days he was the life of the party. He was know for his unique fashion choices. He loved a pair of pointy toe ankle boots. He also loved photos and posing. Mike was super fly, super fresh, and super cool. He loved people watching. He also enjoy bird watching. Mike loved watching television. He enjoyed all sorts of movies from westerns to Sci-fi. Most of all Mike loved spending time with his family. He kept his mother's tradition of keeping the family together. Mike was a great protector of his family. He felt it was his duty to keep all of his loved ones safe.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Dorothy Chambliss; aunts, Bernice Moore, Grace Redmond; Uncle, Joe; three maternal uncles of New York; paternal grandparents, Willis Chambliss and Luella Nolan; maternal grandparents, Howard and Lula (nee: Smith) Ruffin.

Left with his precious memories to cherish are his three daughters; Demeetrise 'Dee' (Pastor Johnny) Ford, Donnita Chambliss, and Chante Sprewell; three sons, Arnold Flores, Benjamin Sprewell, and Frederick Sprewell; bonus daughter, Lecreacia Brown of Tennessee; grandchildren, Isaiah Chambliss, Deonna Collier of Georgia, Kaiden Winters, Kallin Winters, Kai' Lin Winters, Kei' Lee Winters, Curtis Smith, Anaya Smith, Amaya Smith, AKaya Smith, Cincere Smith, Jasmine Flores, Arnold 'AJ' Flores,Jr. Janiya McCall, Navy Sprewell, Antonia Sprewell, Takia Sprewell, Jamia Sprewell, Jaidin Sprewell, Beautiful Sprewell, Bella Sprewell and also his great grandchildren, special granddaughter, Neisha Payton; bonus granddaughter, Labrea Brown-Nichols of Tennessee; sisters, Gloria Chambliss, Linda Chambliss, Virginia Chambliss, Diane Thomas of Alabama; brother, Ira (Sharon) Chambliss of Mississippi; paternal aunts, Diecie (nee: McClain) Ormond, Lula (nee: Larkins) McClain, Mollie Jones, and Lottie McCarty of Louisiana; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Homecoming Celebration will be held Wednesday, April 10th at Maresh-Meredith and Acklam Funeral Home, 803 Main Street. Visitation from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm. Service beginning at 2:00 pm with Pastor Johnny Ford officiating.
