Alice M. Ballewske (nee: Woolsey), age 92, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon June 4, 2026 at her residence. Alice was born in Delavan, WI on October 16, 1933, daughter of the late Warren “Sport” and Celia Mae (nee: Eichman) Woolsey.

Alice was a proud graduate of Westboro High School “Class of 1951”. On June 29, 1968, in Waukegan, IL, she was united in marriage to Orville J. Ballewske. Alice retired from Cooper Industries in 1995. She initially was employed by McGraw-Edison 1973 in the personnel where she held many positions last being personnel manager. Previous to that she was employed as an L.P.N. for eleven years at St. Luke’s Hospital and nursing homes in Racine.

Alice is survived by her sister, Shirley Ulrich; sister-in-law, Mary Woolsey; step-children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Alice was also preceded in death by her siblings, Barbara Linnemann, Virginia Grossman, Larry Woolsey, Helen Dums and Marjorie Rehbein.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday June 17, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Alice’s Life service to start at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32.. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Health Care Network 500 Wisconsin Ave, Suite 102 Racine,WI 53403 have been suggested.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Primrose Retirement Community for their loving and compassionate care.
