Alice R. Wolter

Alice Ruth Wolter, age 98, passed away Wednesday March 2, 2016. On June 3, 1939, she was united in marriage to Edgar “Eddie” Wolter.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Woods; son James “Jim” Wolter, both of Racine; grandsons, Gary (Kyong) Wolter of KY, Jim (Ebony Epps) Wolter, Joe Wolter, both of Racine; great granddaughters, Kimberly of KY and Key’anna of Racine; great great granddaughters, Yaelynn and Naiyung of KY. She is further survived by many close friends from St. John’s Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine Mensior and Jacob “Jack” Freudenthal; husband Edgar “Eddie” Wolter; son-in-law, John Woods; daughter-in-law, Karen Wolter (nee: RItt).

Private services with interment was held at West Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 510 Kewaunee St, Racine, WI 53402.

The family extends a special thank you to all of the caregivers at Ridgewood Care Center and to social worker Chris for all of their loving and compassionate care.
