Alice Vidian, age 92, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023, at St. Monica’s Senior Living. She was born in Detroit, MI, April 23, 1931, daughter of the late Yervant “Edward” and Siranoush (Nee: Mangouni) Vartabedian.

On June 29, 1963, Alice was united in marriage to Vahram “Frank” Vidian. In her younger years she was a member and organist of St. John’s Armenian Church in Detroit. Alice was a longtime member of St. Mesrob Armenian Church.

Alice was a devoted wife and mother and will be dearly missed by her husband Frank of 60 years; her son, Armen Vidian of San Francisco, CA; brother, Ara Vartabedian, sister-in-law, Margaret Vartabedian, nephews, Dr. Robert (Dr. Jeri) Vartabedian, Dr. Paul (Lisa) Vartabedian, Ted Vartabedian; great nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Nicole, Jeffrey, Kara, Julia, Olivia, and Natalie; and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Arthur Vartabedian, in-laws, Michael Vidian, Susan Boumbulian and Denise Topouzian.

Alice valued serving her community by working as an election poll worker in Wind Point, a volunteer at The Prairie School, and for St. Mesrob.

Funeral services celebrating Alice’s life will be held 11:00 am, Friday, January 5, 2024, at St. Mesrob Armenian Church, 4605 Erie St. With Rev. Avedis Kalayjian officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation, Friday 9:30 am until time of service at the church. Memorials in the name of Alice Vidian to The Dementia Society of America, St. Mesrob Armenian Church, or St. John Armenian Church, Detroit, have been suggested by the family.
