Alona Nicole Gentry

Alona Nicole Gentry, age 26, passed away Friday, June 5, 2020. She was born in Racine, June 20, 1993, daughter of Sharnette Hiler and Alonzo Gentry.

Alona was a graduate of Bloomington High School, Bloomington, Ilinois, where she shined as a track star, loved playing basketball, and belonged to a local book club.

She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Trinity; her parents, Alonzo Gentry, Sharnette Hiler; her sister, Alexandria Alexis; and brother, Titus Brockman; her grandparents, Florence Gentry and Sharon Hiler; host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Alona was preceded in death by her grandfather, Floyd Gentry; and great-grandmother, Elnora Hiler.

Due to the current health pandemic a limit of 25 people will be allowed in the viewing/service area at a time. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 19, 2020, 12:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor Willie Scott officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 10:00am until time of service at 12:00pm.
