Alverona Jacob stepped into the arms of her Lord Jesus on Friday, June 21, 2013. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of nearly 65 years, Russell Jacob and her “adopted family” Martha Loschat, Gail and Robert Videkovich, and grandsons, Brandon Videkovich of Milwaukee and Matthew Videkovich of Florida. Alverona is also survived by a brother, Theodore (Pat) Kroulik of Stephen, Minnesota, sister-in-law Kay Kroulik of Grafton, North Dakota, sister-in-law Gladys Olley, brother-in-law Charles Jacob and numerous cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifford Kroulik and Donald Kroulik and sister, Ardella Theroux, brothers-in-law, Sterling Theroux, Lester Jacob, Roy Jacob, and Don Olley, and sisters-in-law Bernice Jacob and Edith Jacob, niece Myrna Dyer, nephew Bradley Kroulik and great-niece Colleen Jacob.

Alverona Pauline Kroulik was born on December 14, 1919 in Donaldson, Minnesota to William and Jenny Kroulik. She grew up on the family farm in Donaldson before moving to St Paul, MN to study cosmetology. She married Russell Jacob on August 14, 1948 and moved to Franksville, WI. She and Russell built their home on an acre of land from the Jacob family farm and lived there for 60 years. Along with working outside the home over the years, Alverona was a homemaker who loved to cook, craft and care for her home. She graciously invited friends and family to their home, and could always be counted on to provide a beautiful floral arrangement, decorated cake, or crafty table decoration for any occasion. Alverona had a personal relationship with God and practiced her faith at Lighthouse Baptist Church, where she had many loving, caring friends who provided prayers, meals and emotional support during her illness.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2013, 10:00 A.M. at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 3301 Douglas Ave, with Rev. John R. Dingman officiating. Interment will follow at Caledonia Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. and at the church on Saturday morning from 9:30 until time of service at 10:00 A.M. Memorials to Lighthouse Baptist Church have been suggested.

A special thank you to the staff of Hospice Alliance for their loving and compassionate care.
