Andre Joanni Sandoval, age 21, departed this world to be with the angels on Saturday August 28, 2021 after a senseless shooting. Andre was born in Burlington on January 5, 2000, to his proud parents, Guadalupe “Lupe” and Maria (nee: Barajas) Sandoval.

Andre attended Gifford Elementary School, Gilmore Middle School and graduated from JI Case High School “Class of 2018”. A hard worker, Andre was currently employed with Dayton Freight and with Allied Universal Security. In his younger years, he loved all sports and played soccer, football, baseball and beach volleyball, He also enjoyed paintball, biking for hours and eating!. Andre will be best remembered for his genuine love for other people and always volunteering to help anyone in need. He was an active member of ACTS (Active Catholic Teens in Service) and went on different mission trips to help the less fortunate in places like New Orleans, Chicago, St. Louis, and most recently the Dominican Republic where he learned how to value and appreciate the things he had. Andre also loved taking care of his furry companion, Lola. There will be great loss in this world without Andre’s generosity, his smile, his golden heart, and his ability to teach love and compassion to others.

Andre will be dearly missed by his parents, Lupe and Maria; his brothers, Daniel, Leo and Alexander; grandparents, Maria De Jesus Avila, Nicacio Barajas, Alfredo Sandoval, Bertha Flores; aunts and uncles, Rafael (Magali) Barajas, Marina (Juan) Gonzalez, Hector (Gabriela) Barajas, Tomasa (Emanuel) Rios, Sara (Harold) Argueta, Alfredo (Hilda) Sandoval-Flores, Nelida (Jose) Sanchez, Eddie Sandoval, Isabel (Ricardo) Villarruel; cousins, Abigail, Diana, J.J., Leslie Mia, Eduardo, Sara, Diego, Daniela, Emanuel “Coco”, Aaliyah, Alfredo III, Isela, Antonio, Isaac, Evan, Christopher, Johally, Alexis, Christian, Marissa, Ismael “Chino”, Julian, Christian, Itzel, Netzali; family friends, Eloy and Martha Contreras, Fr Jose, and Lorena Erazo; other relatives and too many friends to mention.

There will be visitation at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1100 Erie Street, on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to start at 6:00 p.m. Interment will be held at St. Louis Cemetery, Hwy G on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. Donations may be made to the family at Andre’s GoFundMe page, or the family asks you to perform a kind deed in Andre’s name.
