Ann B. Scantling

Ann B. Scantling, age 95, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Lakeshore at Siena. She was born in Racine, WI, January 3, 1931, daughter of Garabed and Saranush (Nee: Ekizian) Bogosian.

Ann graduated from Wm Horlick High School “Class of 1949”. On June 8, 1957 in Santa Monica, CA she was united in marriage to Walter “Bud” Scantling and they were together 39 years when Bud passed December 14, 1996. Ann was an excellent secretary having worked at Racine Hydraulics, J.I. Case Co, Earl W. Hammill and Co, retiring from Clifton and Gunderson. She also served as bookkeeper for the Somerset Club. Ann was a member of St. Hagop Armenian Apostolic Church where she served on the Ladies Auxiliary and Board of Trustees. She also volunteered at Ascension All Saints for over 10,000 hours. Ann enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, needlework, and cross stitch. Her passion was caring for her family and taking care of her household. She will be remembered for her generosity to many. She will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her sister, Margaret (Jerome) Bloxdorf; nephew, Kenneth (Karen) Larsen; niece and goddaughter, Sari Bogosian; special cousins, Sara (Anton) Mikaelian, Alicia (Matthew) Mikaelian; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her siblings, Sarkis Bogosian, infant brother, Samuel, Esther (Kenneth) Larsen, Rose Bogosian, Sam Bogosian; and her stepfather, Garabed Aghabalian.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 6, 2026, 11 am at St. Hagop Armenian Apostolic Church, 4100 N. Newman Rd with Fr. Zareh Sahakian officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service 10-11 am. In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Hagop Armenian Apostolic Church have been suggested.
