Augie T. Herchian

Augie T. Herchian, age 86, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Ridgewood Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Racine, June 28, 1939, son of the late Nicholas and Agnes (Nee: Dadian) Herchian and was a lifelong resident

Augie graduated from Wm Horlick High “Class of 1957”. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a medic stationed in France. Augie was employed by Astronautics Corporation of America in Oak Creek for over 40 years retiring in 2001. He was on his high school reunion committee for many years. After retiring, he enjoyed working on lawnmowers and snowblowers. He had a great appreciation for classic cars. He will be remembered for generosity to his family. Above all, Augie treasured his family.

He will be dearly missed by his daughter Lisa Herchian, both grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Augie was preceded in death by his sisters, Lucy "Lu" Widmer, Kathleen "Babe" (Dick) Jackowski, Dorothy "Ton" (Gil) Frederiksen and his brother George (Dorothy) Herchian.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Sunday, March 8, 2026, 2 pm. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service 1-2 pm. Interment with full military honors will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
