Barbara A. Erickson

Barbara A. Erickson, age 83, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at St. Monica’s Senior Home. Barbara was born in Goodman, WI, September 10, 1933, daughter of the late Oswald and Vera (Nee: Erickson) Bousley.

On July 4, 1953 she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Raymond Erickson, and shared fifty-three beautiful years together. He preceded her in death, January 27, 2007. She was employed for twenty years at Raymond School. She also worked for nine years for Dunbar-Beecher-Pembine School as a cook. An excellent cook and baker, Barbara also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, shopping, and socializing. She was devoted and cherished time spent with her family.

She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Barbara (Todd) Nelson, Patricia Erickson; her five grandchildren, Katherine Nelson, Kristen Nelson (Michael Pinney), Erica Nelson, Sarah Nelson (Martin Potter), David Henningfield; her great-granddaughter, Audrey Pinney; dear cousins, Tom and Sharon Bissonnette; brothers and sister, George (Rose) Bousley, Karen (William) Burgess, James (Sherry) Bousley; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Doris Bousley, Edward Erickson, Robert “Butch” (Joan) Erickson, Lorraine Erickson, Neil “Buzzy” Erickson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers, Russell Bousley, Robert (Jean) Bousley, James Bousley.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, December 22, 2016, 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Richard Molter officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. until time of service at 5:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to St. Monica’s Senior Living, 3920 North Green Bay Road, Racine, WI 53404 in Barb’s name.

The family would like to thank St. Monica’s Senior Living for their loving care and compassion, and would also like to thank Heartland Hospice for their care and assistance.
