Barbara Jean (Pavlik) Riegelman, age 72, of Presque Isle, WI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2025, surrounded by loved ones, after a brief but mighty battle.

Barbara was born on January 31, 1953, in Racine, Wisconsin, to the late Emil and Beverly (Nee: Nelson) Pavlik.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Mark; her children Anthony (Kelley), Aeri (Michael), Nicholas (Aaron), and Charles (Andrea); and her beloved grandchildren: Bailey, Kaya, Cole, Peyton Jean, Miles, and Zeke. She is also survived by her brother Stefan (Lisa), and nieces Melissa and Aimee.

Barbara found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and bringing them to Hu-Hot. She loved decorating for the holidays, gardening, and planting around the house. Barbara also enjoyed traveling and visiting the beach, especially a tropical destination or Portland, OR. Holidays were particularly meaningful to her, with the Fourth of July (for the parade) and Christmas being her favorites.

Though she spent her later years in the Northwoods, Barbara always considered Racine her home.

She retired from Racine County as a Social Worker at the age of 55, giving her and Mark the opportunity to travel to their favorite destinations together.

Barbara will be remembered for her tenacious spirit, fierce love for her family, and the beautiful life she built with those she loved most.

Funeral services celebrating Barbara’s life will be held at the funeral home 11:30 am, Thursday July 24, 2025. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation, Thursday at 10:00 until time of service.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Women’s Resource Center.

"In the end, what matters is not the years of life, but the life of the years".

-Barbara Pavlik Riegelman
