Beatrice Marie Adrianson, age 90, passed away on Wednesday May 20, 2015. She was born in Racine on January 2, 1925, daughter of the late Edward and Julia (nee: Moriarty) Chadek. Chaz, as she was known to her friends, grew up on the “North Side”, attended St. Joseph’s grade school and graduated from Wm. Horlick High in 1940.

Chaz and her friends loved to dance and she met her future husband Wesley Adrianson through friends at a dance. During the War, Chaz worked in Connecticut and briefly joined the Navy. After the war, she married Wesley and started a family. Betty was active in Altar Sodality and Catholic Women’s League at St. Edwards where her children attended grade school. She was also a Brownie Scout Leader. Betty was a member of St. Mary’s Auxiliary and was always active in the Republican Party and loved to embarrass her children with huge political signs on her station wagon. Later in life, she retired to Bohner’s Lake where she was a founding member of the Bohner’s Lake Improvement Association and Ladies of the Lake. Betty spent many happy years there with her husband, children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Theresa Adrianson of Racine, Julie Adrianson Neary (Patrick Neary) of San Geronimo, CA, Mary Adrianson Rice (Dale Rice) of Racine, Stephen Adrianson (Jane Evans Adrianson) of Sherman Oaks, CA; her grandchildren, Max Rice, Sam Rice, Kate Rice, Wesley Adrianson and Douglas Adrianson; her sister Jean Sorenson of Burlington; sister-in-law, Lois Chadek of Appleton; and many many nieces and nephews. She loved her large group of friends, many of whom she knew from childhood—and is survived by her special friends Gracie Kimpbell, Virginia Mondale, Mary Ellen Deming and Ted Messmer. In addition to her parents, Betty was also preceded in death by her husband Wesley, brother, Edward “Butch” Chadek, and brother-in-law, Dr. A.W. “Bill” Sorenson.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Friday, May 29, 2015, 11:00 A.M. followed by interment at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet at the funeral home Friday, 10:00 A.M. until time of service.
