Life Story / Obituary
Bernard R. Clark, age 86, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024, at Bay at Water’s Edge. He was born in Racine, November 17, 1937, son of the late Gardner and Edna (Nee: Jensen) Clark.
Bernie was a graduate of Park High School, “Class of 1956”. On October 19, 1957, Bernie was united in marriage to Judith Eickhorst, who preceded him in death on October 1, 2013. He proudly served his country in the National Guard for eight years. He was employed by Tree Machine Tool Company and Jacobsen Mfg. until his retirement in 1999. Bernie was a long-time member of St. John Lutheran Church. He was a Packer fan and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time up north.
He was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by his daughter, Lisa (Scott) Hemphill; his son, Scott Clark; grandchildren, Robby (Erica), Sarah (Michael), Andrea (Leo); 5 great grandchildren; sister, Janice (Larry) Scheffler; nieces, nephews other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Joey, brothers, Charles (Peggy) Clark, Dr. George (Diane) Clark.
Funeral Services celebrating Bernie’s life will be held at the funeral home, 10:30 am, Thursday, August 29, 2024, with Rev. Jack Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation, at the funeral home, Wednesday, August 28, from 4:00 until 6:00 pm, also on Thursday at 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home. Memorials to St. John’s Lutheran Church have been suggested by the family.
