Betty L. LaMere

Betty Lou LaMere, age 85, passed away Monday, July 08, 2013 at Wheaton Franciscan –All Saints Medical Center. Betty was born in Racine, April 17, 1928, daughter of the late Phillip and Clara (Nee: Helding) Klinkhammer.

On November 25, 1948 she was united in marriage to Donald L. LaMere. She was a member of St. Richard Catholic Church. Betty’s pastimes included yardwork, gardening, and crafts. Most of all she cherished time with her family and will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of sixty-four years, Donald; her son and daughter-in-law, Mark (Linda) LaMere; her grandchildren, Lindsay (Andy) Beyer, Heather (Adam) Pron; her great-granddaughters, Keira Beyer, Paige and Brooke Pron; brother, Phillip Klinkhammer Jr.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Pam; her great-granddaughter, Grace Pron; brothers and sisters, Richard Klinkhammer, Karl Klinkhammer, Mary (Louis) Milkie, and Hazel (Carl) Mueller.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 12, 2013, 6:00 P.M. at St. Richard Catholic Church, 1503 Grand Avenue, with Rev. Ron Gramza officiating. Private interment will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Town of Dover. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the church from 4:00 P.M. until time of Mass at 6:00 P.M.
