Candace A. Czubin, age 60, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center. Candace was born in Racine, August 22, 1953, daughter of Harold “Red” and Betty J. (Nee: Rashleger) Christensen.

On June 18, 1979 she was united in marriage to Darwin D. Czubin. Candace was employed as an insurance benefit analyst, last working at BSG. She was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church. Candace enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crafts. Most of all she cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her loving husband, Darwin; her children, C.J. Hill, Tara Fisher, Heather (Lenny) Allen, Ashley Barsaleau; her eight grandchildren, Josie, Kayleigh, Nicholas, Schylar, Kaelen, Paige, Sydney, and Addisyn; her mother, Betty Christensen; sisters, Diane Christensen, Lynn (Bob) Evans, Debbie Lipari, Donese (Pablo) Jimenez; brother, Neil (Marie) Christensen; brother-in-law, Donald (Pamela) Czubin; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold “Red” Christensen and by her grandson, Gabriel.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 22, 2014, 1:00 P.M. at Atonement Lutheran Church, 2915 Wright Avenue, with Rev. Warren Williams officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday at the church from 11:30 A.M. until time of service at 1:00 P.M. Memorials to the American Heart Association have been suggested.
