Carole Jean Landa

Carole Jean Landa, age 90, passed away at her residence, Saturday, August 16, 2025. She was born in Racine, June 8, 1935, daughter of the late Everette and Marguerite (Nee: Williamson) Lamers.

Carole was a graduate of Wm. Horlick High School, “Class of 1953’. On September 26, 1953, she was united in marriage to David Landa, who preceded her in death on May 7, 1990. In her earlier years Carole owned and operated a clothing store and later was a plant service technician. She will forever be remembered for her sense of style, fashion, decorating, her love of antiquing and finding the best deals at the thrift stores.

She was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by her children, Lynne (Alex) Vinogradov, Jeff (Teresa) Landa; grandchildren, Bethany Condill, Casey (Sherri) Landa, Carl Landa, Lindsey (Ryan) Underwood; great grandchildren, Alexis Daniels, Ava Marie and Charlie Underwood; sisters, Marilyn Jorgensen, Donna (Marty) DeFatte; sister-in-law, Winnie DiChristopher, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicki Condill, son David Landa, granddaughter, Jillian Condill and great grandson, Lucas Condill.

A Memorial Service celebrating Carole’s life will be held at the funeral home, 12:00 pm, Tuesday, August 26, 2025, with Rev. Matt James officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation, Tuesday at 11:00 am until time of service at the funeral home. Private interment will take place in Barrington, IL. Memorials to the American Lung Association have been suggested by the family.
