Life Story / Obituary
Carolyn Judith Quinn, “Cary”, age 75, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Ascension Hospital Franklin. She was born in Chicago, IL, October 29, 1950, daughter of the late Raymond and Leona (Nee: Willig) Stibeck.
Cary graduated “Class of 1969” and proudly enlisted and then served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. Moving to Racine she worked in the family business McDonalds. On November 15, 1980, at St. Rita Catholic Church she was united in marriage to Michael A. Quinn. Cary was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. In her younger years she provided childcare and enjoyed bowling and camping. More recently she enjoyed reading, word search, bird watching and watching Sci Fi - her favorite was Star Trek. More than anything she treasured the time spent with family especially her grandchildren. She as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
Surviving are her husband of nearly 46 years, Mike; children, John (Marcie) Quinn, Penny (Kevin) Hyde; grandchildren, Cassie, Carl, Brooke, Brianna, and Aidan; 2 great grandsons, Harley and Micah; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond “RJ” Stibeck.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Ave, Tuesday, July 7, 2026, 11am with Reverend Jose Mario Nieto officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the Mass 10-11am.
Memorials to Alzheimer’s Assn have been suggested.
