Catherine M. Jacobs

Catherine Mary Jacobs, age 84, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Froedtert Hospital, Wauwatosa. She was born in Elkhart, IN, February 25, 1941, daughter of the late Konstatine and Helen (Nee: Yannopoulos) Caranasios and had been a resident of Racine since 1970.

On July 9, 1972, she was united united in marriage to Edward “Bob” Jacobs and they were blessed with a son Martin. Sadly, Bob passed away May 31, 1994 and Martin on April 14, 2015. Catherine retired from Racine Unified School District after working many years as a Data Statistician. She was a member of Kimissis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church and PEO. Catherine had a passion for gardening, reading, the opera and symphonies. She will be dearly missed by her friends. In addition to her parents, husband and son she was preceded in death by her brother Evangelos Caranasios, US Army KIA in Vietnam.

Private entombment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery Hwy 32.

Memorials to one’s favorite charity have been suggested.
