Chad C. Petersen

Chad C Petersen, age 55 passed away Saturday, December 20, 2025, at John C. Lincoln Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. He was born on October 24, 1970, son of the late Charles and Cheri (nee: Knop) Petersen.

Chad was a graduate of Washington Park High School. He was employed by Frederick Manufacturing. Chad was a very active guy who enjoyed fishing, football, basketball and bowling. The thing Chad cherished the most was the time he spent with his children, grandchildren, family and friends.

He was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by his parents Cher and Michael Nelson, Stepmother Mary Hartling, children: Ashley (Mason) Petersen, Zachary (Taylor) Petersen, Amanda (Casey) Ervin, Morgan (Joeli) Petersen, Angelina Petersen; 10 grandchildren: Adrina, Mashawna, Dashawn, Masion, Masonia, Avery, Zander, Brody, Zahriya and Camden; sisters: Carrie (Michael) Scheckler, Cary (Ryan) Wick; brothers: Cory (Erica) Petersen, Thomas (Gina) Hartling, Shannon Nelson, John Hartling, Ryan Hartling; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Todd Collins, father: Michael Hartling and his longtime girlfriend Christina Vague.

A Funeral Service celebrating Chad’s life will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet the family for Visitation at 10:00am until the time of service.
