Charles Edward LeCrone, age 54, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 11, 2024, in Atlanta, GA, while traveling for work. He was born in Decatur, IL, March 8, 1970, son of Rev. James and Sally (Gillespie) LeCrone.

After high-school, Chuck proudly served in the U.S. Navy from October 1989 to August 1997. Chuck received a Bachelors of Science degree from Carthage College. He was employed at SC Johnson and Son for 18 years and was currently employed at Graham Packaging since 2018 as Director of Operations. On October 1, 2010, he was united in marriage to Debra Ann Roberts. Charlie’s passions included family, the water, and sailing with his mates. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his father, Rev. James (Mary) LeCrone; his wife, Debra; daughters, Kaylee (Cody) Petrick, Alysia (Justin) Jacob; stepson, Shawn Manbeck; grandchildren, Annabella and Dominic Manbeck, Mylee Hansen, Kori, Addison, and C.J. Petrick, Ella LeCrone, Braxton Charles Jacob; siblings, Tim LeCrone, Kimberly (Steve) Weber, Judy LeCrone, Keith LeCrone; mother-in-law, Joan Roberts; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Cheryl (Hector) Anchondo, Mike (Michelle) Roberts, Timothy (Lisa) Roberts, Jeffery Roberts; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sally LeCrone, and father-in- law, Michael Roberts.

Visitation will be held at the Maresh Meredith and Acklam Funeral Home on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 3-5 pm. A funeral service and full military honors will follow at 5 pm with Rev. James LeCrone officiating. Graveside services will be held at Camfield Cemetery, Sullivan, IL. on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 2 pm.
