Charles Franklin Boatner

Charles Franklin Boatner, “James”, age 64 passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2019. He was born March 24, 1955, in Gary IN, to Roy H. and Mattie L. (Graham) Boatner.

Charles confessed his faith in Christ at an early age. He was a 1974 graduate of J.I. Case High School. After graduation, Charles went to work for J. I. Case Co. He also loved working on cars, plumbing and carpentry work.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his children; 2 daughters, Tyisha M. Boatner (Gerald) of Racine, WI, and Chantel Boatner of Eau Claire, WI; his son, DaMario R. Boatner (Alexandra) of Racine, WI; grandchildren, Gerquon Moss of Racine, WI, I’Zariay T. Boatner (An’asia)of Racine, A’Mari D. Boatner of Racine, WI, Tai’Ania D. Boatner of Racine, WI, Nadia L. Boatner of Racine, WI, Destiny R. Norbert of Eau Claire, WI, Brandon Green of Eau Claire, WI, Janae Boatner of Racine, WI, Elijah Bruno of Racine; sisters, Helen D. Boatner of Chicago, IL, Loretta Boatner, Vicky S. Boatner , and Tina (Arthur) Riley all of Racine; brothers, Leonard (Sandra) Boatner of Dermott, AR, Raymond Boatner (Barbara) of Racine, WI; aunts, Gladys Homcome of GA , Alice Parks of IL, Sara Graham of Racine, WI.

Charles was preceded in death by parents Roy H. and Mattie L. Boatner; a son, Tajuan D. Boatner; grandsons, Gerald Moss Jr, and DaMario Boatner Jr: brother, Roy L. Boatner.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday July 22, 2019, 10:30 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 P.M. with Reverend Fred Richmond officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
