Lakeshore at Siena
Life Story / Obituary
Charlotte A. Romano, age 77, passed away Sunday January 12, 2025 at Lakeshore at Siena. Charlotte was born in Racine on July 25, 1947, daughter of the late James and Emma (nee: Gerber) Baird Sr.
Charlotte graduated from Lutheran High School “Class of 1965”. On October 18, 1975 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Charlotte was united in marriage to the love of her life, Nick L. Romano, and have since shared nearly fifty beautiful years together.
Charlotte was employed with In-Sink-Erator for twenty-four years and was a member of the In-Sink-Erator Ten Year Club. She enjoyed her time spent with her girlfriends in the Safari Club Sables. Charlotte loved going to lunch with her nieces, followed by shopping for the next new style. Some of her best memories were from her travels around the world with her husband. But above all, Charlotte loved her time at family parties and holiday gatherings.
Charlotte will be dearly missed by her husband, Nick; her twin sister, Charlene Foertsch; sister-in-law, Barbara Baird; brother-in-law, Joe (Rosemarie) Romano; nieces, Carol (Keith) Sobotka, Gina (Clint) Wisialowski, Renee Itzenhuiser, Claudia Mendoza, nephews, Frank (Lynn) Romano, Greg (Lisa) Romano, and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Charlotte was also preceded in death by her brother, James Baird Jr., and brother-in-law, Curtis Foertsch.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday January 20, 2025, 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials to Lakeshore at Siena have been suggested.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Lakeshore at Siena for their loving and compassionate care.
