Craig T. "Swany" Swanson

Craig Timothy Swanson, “Swany”, age 78, passed away Friday, June 19, 2026 at Avia of Waukesha. He was born in Racine, WI, March 24, 1948, son of the late Fred and Alyce (Nee: Aul) Swanson.

Craig graduated from Wm Horlick High School “Class of 1966”. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force as an E4 Sergeant stationed in Vietnam and was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America. Craig was employed as a concrete driver with Redi-Mix Concrete and retired in 2010 from Meyer Materials. He enjoyed fishing up in Genoa City, golfing, playing pool and just spending time with friends. He will be remembered for his love of music, his witty and comedic conversations, and his ability to leave a smile on your face. He will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Kent Swanson.

Funeral services will be held at Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home, 803 Main St, Thursday, July 9, 2026, 12:30 pm. Interment with full military honors will follow at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Dover, WI. Visitation will be held prior to the service 11:30 am until 12:30 pm.
