Life Story / Obituary
David Gerard Drier, age 75, of Racine, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026.
David was born in Racine, WI on December 4, 1950, to the late Harry and Margaret (Nee: McMahon) Drier. He grew up in Racine and graduated from St. Catherine’s High School in 1969. Following graduation, David proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Military Policeman during the Vietnam War. Throughout his life, David was a hardworking man, having been employed at Styberg Engineering, Modine Manufacturing, Lake Electric Motors, and Pioneer Products.
David had a deep appreciation for nature and the simple pleasures in life. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether gardening, hunting, fishing, or taking walks with his beloved dog. A true Wisconsin sports fan, David loved cheering on his Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. Whether enjoying the peacefulness of nature or the excitement of a good game, he found happiness in the things he loved.
Known for his sharp mind, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humor, David had a special way of making people laugh. He was incredibly intelligent, always ready with an interesting thought, a clever observation, or a perfectly timed joke. His humor, knowledge, and unique perspective on life made him someone who will not easily be forgotten.
David is survived by his two children, Steven (Holly) Drier and Sarah (Russell) Kaminski; his cherished grandchildren, Lilly Drier and Henry Drier; his brother, Harry (Lynne) Drier; his sister-in-law Toni Drier; and his former wife, Janet Drier. David also leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephews, who will cherish the memories they shared with him.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Margaret (Matthew) Caretta and Harriet (Russell) Bohn; and his brothers, Thomas Drier, Joseph (Carol) Drier, and Patrick (Mary) Drier.
David will be remembered for his intelligence, his sense of humor, his love of the outdoors, and the memories he leaves with those who knew and loved him. Though he will be deeply missed, the laughter he shared and the stories he leaves behind will continue to bring smiles to those who remember him.
